Workplace Harassment Is Not Part of the Job
Workplace harassment is a notorious issue in Malaysia and is often closely linked to adverse implications on mental health. According to a survey conducted in 2020 by the Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO), a majority of Malaysian women have experienced some form of sexual harassment at their workplace.
Sexual harassment can be a traumatic experience for those targeted- affecting their mental health and life in the long term. This shameful behaviour is not something to be tolerated- instead we should stand up against such acts and ensure that the perpetrators face the consequences of their actions!
ReachOut.my will be organising a talk which titled “Workplace Harassment is Not Part of the Job” on 25th November 2021, from 5pm to 6pm. In this session, we are honored to have Ms. Tanita, a Staff Wellbeing Counsellor from UNHCR and Dr Sangeeta Kaur from Yayasan Health On World with us today to share with us their valuable insights, experience and advice on how to overcome workplace harassment and how to cope with the adverse effects on ones mental health.
Join us via Zoom. Looking forward to see you there!
